Program Specific Outcomes(PSOs)

Diploma Automobile graduate will be able

To comprehend, test, analyze and rectify problems related to vehicle service.

To plan and execute efficient, safe, sustainable and cost effective service centre.

Automobile engineering department is one of the oldest departments of this premier institute since 1955. The diploma automobile engineering course is approved by All India council for technical education, New Delhi and this course is affiliated to Gujarat Technological university-Ahmedabad. At the time of commencement of the course, the intake capacity of students was 30 and now currently it is 60.  Duration of course is six semesters (including one full term industrial training which is offered   in fifth semester).

The department is having four well-ventilated classrooms with sitting facility for approx. 210 students in total. The department is also having one seminar room. Faculties of department arrange many lecturers using multimedia projector. The department is having five well equipped laboratories as tabulated under.

This laboratory houses a demonstration and experimental facility for various Petrol Engines, Diesel Engines and various parts of engines.  

This laboratory houses a demonstration and experimental facility for Various transmission system like clutch, brake system, Gearbox, Suspension system etc.

This laboratory houses a demonstration and experimental facilities for various automobile electric systems like battery, ignitions system, charging system, starting system etc.

A laboratory has various equipments in the field of diagnosis and testing. This enables students to get Practical experiences in wheel balancing, pollution check and overhauling of various assemblies.

This laboratory houses highly configured computer systems which facilitate students for projects, report writing, and drawing software.
